Updating the Personal Study Plan (PSP)  

The instructions for updating the PSP will be sent to your email by your guidance counsellor during March. Please read the instructions carefully. 

Please remember that study advisors give online technical assistance when preparing the personal study plan (PSP) if needed. Check the online customer service schedule here. You can find the link to the Zoom meeting from Peppi student's desktop

Summer studies  

As a Haaga-Helia student, you have a great chance to study actively throughout the year. Enrollment for Master summer implementations ends on Fri 17 May.  

3UAS spring and summer 2024 studies  

  • Leadership skills for a changing world (5 ECTS) is a master’s level course about leadership skills needed in the future. The course is useful for anyone who plans on working as a leader in the future. 

    The topics of the course change every year depending on what are the most current and interesting topics at the time. This year’s themes are inclusive leadership through collaborative storytelling, coaching leadership & driving sustainability through customer-oriented leadership. Read more and enroll

  • Haluatko oppia luomaan kehitystä ja menestyä, myös kansainvälisesti? TKI-osaaja – tutkimus-, kehittämis- ja innovaatiotoiminta tutuksi -opintokokonaisuus (5 op) koostuu viidestä  yhden opintopisteen laajuisesta itsenäisesti suoritettavasta verkko-opintojaksosta, eli MOOCista (Massive Open Online Course). Opintokokonaisuuden voi suorittaa ajasta ja paikasta riippumatta, eikä opintojaksojen suoritusjärjestyksellä ole merkitystä. Voit halutessasi myös valita vain itseäsi eniten kiinnostavat opintojaksot. Course offering for the academic year 24-25 and enrolment for autumn 2024 studies  

The preliminary course offering for the next academic year has been published on the Master students' timetable pages. The specific timetables for autumn 2024 will be published on 8.5. in Timetable tool (Lukkarikone). The pre-enrolment for autumn 2024 begins on 15 May at 8.00 and ends on 23 May at 16.00. The second enrolment begins on 3 June at 8.00 and ends at 16.00 on the Friday of the week before the implementation begins.

International Master student meetups 

Haaga-Helia is hosting in-person meetings for international master's degree students. Each meeting will be 90 minutes, have a theme, and offer a space for master's students to ask questions, network, and learn about local cultural and professional events.

Support for thesis  

  • The "Thesis Peer Group" is a group coaching program for thesis writers aimed at providing and sharing peer support, boosting motivation, and developing self leadership skills to progress in thesis work. Each session is designed around a specific theme, involving discussions and exercises. Read more and enroll here. 

  • The study coach offers guidance and support for promoting studies and coping with studies. Coaching can deal with, for example, the scheduling of studies and everyday life, mapping one's own strengths and developing one's own study techniques. Study coaching is confidential, short-term, and meetings are always tailored individually with the student. You can arrange the first meeting easily by e-mail: opintovalmennus@haaga-helia.fi

Student exchange  

Apply for student exchange between 4.3-11.3.24. While some destinations are not open due to seats being filled in the main application round, there are plenty of exciting places to study in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025. You can find out more about the exchange destinations and the travel reports from students who have been on exchange in the MoveOn database. National AI survey

Have you thought about how AI will shape your work and career now and in the future? Here is your opportunity to influence the development of human and pluralistic knowledge work! Take part in our national survey, tell us about your experiences in the use of AI and help us understand the opportunities and challenges of AI in working life. The survey is part of a larger "Artificial intelligence as a promoter of equality" study, which is carried out by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences with the support of the Finnish Work Environment Fund, and it provides valuable information on the effects of artificial intelligence in the workplace.

Those participants who have left their contact information will be invited to a webinar where we will share the research results and discuss the experiences of using AI. Your answers are completely anonymous, and it only takes about 15 minutes to respond to a survey. Don't miss your chance to make a difference the survey is only open until 18th of March, 2024.

Master thesis  

The thesis should be started at the beginning of the third semester i.e. second study year the latest. You can find support and information from Master thesis web page and on the Applied Design Research course. If you don’t have a thesis topic yet, remember to participate in the Master seminar of your specialisation where you can get support for ideation.
