Since the beginning of the autumn semester, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences has gone to great lengths to normalize its operations.
So far, there are no plans to tighten restrictions for the start of the spring semester.
During the spring semester, a significant part of the teaching will be provided as contact teaching. The aim of contact teaching is to support students' well-being, community spirit, and the smooth progress of their studies.
At Haaga-Helia, the health and safety of students and staff is a top priority.
The safety of the campuses is ensured by following official instructions, which means, among other things, good hand and respiratory hygiene, enhanced cleaning, a strong recommendation to use a surgical mask while staying on campus, and keeping the safety distances.
Disposable surgical masks are available on campus for students to pick up.
Haaga-Helia is committed to following the instructions and regulations of the authorities in all its decision-making. In addition, it conducts risk-based assessments of prevailing conditions and modifies the policy on coronavirus as necessary.
ALSO, trips abroad related to students' studies may be considered during the spring semester, taking national and international safety regulations into account.
In practice, this means that long-term student mobility, e.g. traineeships, and exchanges, will be organized if the authorities' instructions allow it.
Haaga-Helia also accepts foreign students and guests if the national and international travel and security regulations allow.
However, the premise for everything is that during the travels one must follow the current recommendations of the Government and the National Institute for Health and Welfare.
The corona task force of Haaga-Helia continues its regular meetings and actively monitors the national and international corona situation.
